Arrival in Baños
Baños is a vibrant small town full of fun and surrounded by nature; being located at the edge of the Andes and at the start of the Ecuadorian Amazon jungle, it offers a great deal of activities to ensure you days and nights of fun, nice, interesting and adventurous experiences. The weather is very nice as it is located at 1200 m. On the other hand, it is also the perfect place if what you look for is relax and disconnect from the rumble and hustle of the city, enjoying a bath in natural hot springs with beautiful views, rent a bike to get to know the town or just take a nice walk around.

















day 3 MONDAY – SUNDAY
Classes and activities
On Monday you will meet your teacher and companions at the hostel and you will start this fun learning process. Your classes are scheduled 4 hours a day from Monday to Friday. During your stay will also have 2 extra-curricular activities, that we have prepared for you: a half day Bike Tour and a half day Canopy bridge! Your teacher will explain you also the first day all the great places to visit in Baños for eating, drinking and dancing.
Included: Pre night Quito, transfer pickup to hostel & to
bus station, administration fee, 7 nights Hostel – Shared Room, with breakfast, Spanish classes (20 hrs.), HD Bike Tour, HD Canopy bridge Not included: Personal expenses, Meals not mentioned above, Transportation to Baños and to Quito
Day 9 Sunday
Transfer to Quito
In the afternoon, you’ll say farewell to Baños and head back to Quito by bus on your own account. Once you arrive back in the capital you will stay in a cozy hostel close to the project. Here, you will receive information on how to go to the project (walking distance) on the first working day, usually on Mondays.
The Dream Center Quito is a non-profit organization for children who live or have lived on the streets. As a volunteer you can be of great help assisting the children with their homework, teaching about hygienic education, sport, music and art, amongst other activities, and of course sharing joy, laughter, and attention.



day 10 MONDAY – DAY 22 SATURDAY
Project
Once you arrive at the project, you will have an orientation meeting where general information about the activities during the following days will be provided.
At midday, you will have a break for lunch, which is served at the project. This is a great opportunity for you to get to know the people of the community and their lives.
In the afternoon, you will continue with your duties until around 4pm. The rest of the day is free for you
to enjoy the city. For the following days, the schedule is similar, working from 7am to 4pm from Monday to Friday.
Some of the activities include:
- Help children with their homework (children are often behind in school and do not have a quiet space to do their homework, or have parents who are not capable of helping them at home so volunteers are a great help in this area).
- Help in the kitchen, especially during lunch time which can be very chaotic and
- Assist in hygiene education, such as hand washing and brushing
- Organize sport, art, music activities with the kids after their
Basic Spanish is required for this project in order to be able to interact with the children.
