General overview

Villa Ticca is a community-based project in Quito that provides a safe and supportive space for children and youth. The initiative focuses on education, daily structure, and personal development, creating an environment where children can learn, grow, and feel supported.

As a volunteer, your role is to support the daily dynamics of the project while contributing to a positive and engaging environment for the children. Your participation is centered on interaction, presence, and collaboration with the local team.

Activities are flexible and adapted to the needs of the project, the group, and the children. You may be involved in:

• Supporting children with educational activities
• Organizing games, creative workshops, and group dynamics
• Assisting during daily routines and mealtimes
• Helping create a safe and welcoming environment
• Sharing cultural exchange moments with the children

All activities are guided by local coordinators, ensuring that your contribution is meaningful, respectful, and aligned with the project’s goals.

• Educational support
  Support children in their learning process through homework help and simple educational activities, always in a dynamic and encouraging environment.

• Play & creative moments
  Engage children through games, creative activities, and group interaction, creating moments of joy, expression, and connection. .

• Daily support
  Assist the local team during daily routines such as mealtimes and transitions, contributing to a structured and caring environment.

• Emotional encouragement
  Provide positive reinforcement through attentive interaction, helping children build confidence, social skills, and a sense of belonging in a supportive environment.
